Sit and wait?
How close to home must a crisis hit before it really hurts? Or do we just have to be hit by a whole slew of crises before we even flinch?
If we take a step and look at the big picture, we probably haven't seen a worse time for all these tragedies to be unfolding- and simultaneously too.
It seems like the perfect storm.
If we try, we may even catch a glimpse of it as it passes.
On a lighter note, do enjoy these two videos.

There is a light that never goes out
Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
And they're young and alive.
Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people
And I want to see life

Borne on the FM waves of the heart.
No, it's not what we meant to say.
We don't really love each other.
What happens when the summers over?
How long before distance becomes a chore?
I'm approaching with great, great trepidation.
I hope you'll understand.
Before you speak think about what you're trying to say.
Who else is there to blame for miscommunication?
You're getting caught up in the excitement.
You're making promises you can't keep.
You need to leave all your options open.
Too much momentum.
This room feels like it's going to explode.
Too many angles.
Too many factors to cover.
Waiting for signal.
You're searching for network.
You have to fight to stay in control of the situation.
Anxiety, Anxiety you give me no mercy.
Grind my teeth smooth and flat in my sleep.
We took some pills to calm us down.
Then we needed help to come back up.
Just trying to stay in control of the situation.
Too much momentum.
This room feels like it's going to explode.
Too many angles.Too many factors to cover.
Waiting for signal. You're searching for network.
You have to fight to stay in control of the situation.
They fall apart so easily.
Too much momentum.
This room feels like it's going to explode.
Too many angles.
Too many factors to cover.
Waiting for signal.
You're searching for network.
You have to fight to stay in control.
You have to fight to stay in control.
No, you don't have to fight to stay in control of the situation.

Difference
Survive: To remain or continue in existence.
Overcome: To overpower or overwhelm in body and mind.
The only similarity is, you will still be alive after surviving and overcoming.
The question is: "Do you gain victory by overcoming your circumstances, and come out stronger? Or you just barely made it and survived to see through your circumstances?"
Overcoming is a better option isn't it?

Burn Out Brighter (Northen Lights)
Live; I wanna live inspired.
Die; I wanna die for something higher than myself.
Live and die for anyone else.
The more I live I see, this life's not about me.
Live; I wanna live on fire.
Die; I wanna burn out brighter.
Brighter than the Northern Lights.
Wanna live to feel the daylight.
The more I live I see, this life's not about me

New Surrender

"We will all come to the point in our life where we have to admit that we feel defeated, that something has conquered us. We must change, not because we want to, but because we desperately have to. We can not take life in its current suffocating state, even to admit such desperation shows that we are feeling deserted, wandering the barren desert, a shell of our former selves. It is only up from here, it is impossible to sink any lower into ourselves or our circumstances. But we can be salvaged, a deliverance. No vice can stand, no fix can take. The thorn in the side can be removed, but you have to be willing to admit and surrender. Surrender your habits, your lifestyle, your past, your present, and your future. This is your new surrender. The new surrender."

Beauty and The Beast
You know the story, There was a time when his face was handsome, and his palace was pleasant. But that was before the curse. He was cursed because he refused to let a fairy in to his palace during a heavy rain. So the fairy turned him into a hideous beast.
But all that changed when the Beauty came. I wonder, what would happen to the Beast if the Beauty hadn't appeared? Or what would had happened if she hadn't cared? Who would have blamed her if she hadn't? Well, he was such a... beast. Hairy, roaring, and defying. While the Beauty is of course beautiful, gorgeous and contagiously kind. Nobody would have blamed her if she hadn't cared, but she did.
The story is familiar because it reminds us of ourselves. There is a beast within each of us.
Some would disagree. They look around and say, "Compared to everyone else, I'm still a decent person." We try, oh how we try. We don't do what we want to do, we don't like what we do, and worse-- we can't change.
Still disagree? Well, accept this challenge. For the next twenty-four hours, lead a sinless life. Not a decade, year or a month. Just one perfect day. Still can't do it? Hmm. How about an hour? Where you only have pure thoughts and actions. Not up for it? How about five minutes? Five minutes of worry-free, anger-free, and unselfish living. Can you do it? No?
Nor can I.
But here the correlation with Beauty and the Beast ends. In the Bible, the Beauty does much more. He becomes the beast, so the beast, which is us, can become the beauty. What if the Beauty had not come? What if the Beauty had not cared? Then we would have remained a beast. But the Beauty did come, and the Beauty did care.
"The sinless One took on the face of a sinner, so that we sinners could take on the face of a saint."

Ann Siang Road
So today I went to Ann Siang Road for the second time, and I saw this:.jpg)
But apart from that, it was an eye opener for me. The place has a contemporary feel, yet there are still old buildings, shophouses and shops in the midst. It also has a chill-out ambience, very quiet and laid-back. Oh yeah saw a pair of jeans that I liked. Well, I'm still considering other alternatives as well. Yup I shall end this short entry here.

Perceptions

I thought this is how humans deal with reality.
Maybe it's man's imperfection
that causes things to get really shallow.
Let's just talk about the weather instead.
Well the climate has changed,
so do humans.

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villian.
We thought we could be decent man in an indecent time, but we were wrong! The world is cruel. And the only morality in a cruel world is chance.
Because he's the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs rights now, and so we'll hunt him, because he can take it, because he's not a hero, he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... A Dark Knight.

To realize.
To realize the value of a month,
To realize the value of a week,
To realize the value of a day,
To realize the value of an hour,
To realize the value of a minute,
To realize the value of a second,
To realize the value of a millisecond,

Double
Much has happened, less to be said.
Well a picture speaks a thousand words.
Take me home, United Road.
I was born to be United,
Daddy told me, when I was just a baby;
When I was five, I went down Warwick Road;
Now I'm addicted to the only place I'll go
Take me home,
United Road,
To the place I belong,
To Old Trafford,
To see United,
Take me home, United Road
All my memories,
Bobby Charlton,
Georgie Best and Cantona,
They came to us from heaven;
Then in the Nou Camp in 1999,
On Sir Matt Busby's birthday,
Oh it was party time
I watch the Reds,
I feel the noise,
The crowd is roaring;
The Stretford End is singing
And the fans are going wild;
And when I'm gone I get a feeling
That I should've been home yesterday,
Yesterday, oh!

Don't drop your arms
What makes us who we are?
Eyes? Hair? Race? Sex?
Who will you...
love?
Who will you...
trust?
Where is home?
What hardships will you face?
What hardships will you overcome?
What makes you happy?
What are your passions?
If you could...
Do it all over again...
What will you change?
Relationships? Choices? Directions?
What experience will you relive?
What will you...
acheive?
What will you...
be remembered for?
Don't drop your arms.

The Brick.
A young and successful executive was travelling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door!
He slammed on the brakes and spun the Jag back to the spot from where the brick had been thrown. He jumped out of the car, grabbed the kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What was that all about and who are you?! Just what the heck are you doing?!" Building up a head of steam he went on. "That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?!"
"Please, mister, please. I'm sorry, I didn't know what else to do!" pleaded the kid. "I threw the brick because you would not stop your car..."
Tears were dripping down the boys chin as he pointed around the parked car. "It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up." Sobbing, the boy asked the executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He lifted the young man back into the wheelchair and took out his handkerchief and wiped the scrapes and cuts, checking to see that everything was going to be okay. "Thank you mister and God bless you," the grateful child said to him. The man then watched the little boy push his brother down the sidewalk towards their home.
It was a long walk back to his Jaguar... a long, slow walk. He never did repair the side door. He kept it as a reminder, never to go through life so fast.
God whispers in your soul and speaks to your heart. Sometimes you go through life so fast, that He has to throw "a brick" at you to get your attention. It's your choice: Listen to the whisper, or wait for the brick.

The Con
Tegan and Sara- The Con
I listened in
Yes I'm guilty of this
You should know this
I broke down and wrote you back
Before you had a chance to
Forget forgotten
I am moving past this giving notice
I have to go
Yes I know the feeling,
Know you're leaving
Calm down, I'm calling you to say
I'm capsized, staring on the edge of safe
Calm down, I'm calling back to say
I'm home now I'm coming around, coming around
Nobody likes to but I really like to cry
Nobody likes me
Maybe if I cry
Spelled out your name and lists the reasons
Pain of heart
Don't call me back
I imagine you when I was distant
Non-insistent
I follow suit and layed out on my back
Imagine that
A million hours left to think of you
And think of that
Calm down, I'm calling you to say
I'm capsized, staring on the edge of safe
Calm down, I'm calling back to say
I'm home now And coming around, coming around
Nobody likes to but I really like to cry
Nobody likes me
Maybe if I cry
Encircle me, I need to be, taken down
Encircle me, I need to be, taken down
Encircle me, I need to be, taken down
Nobody likes to but I really like to cry
Nobody likes me
Maybe if I cry
Nobody Encircle me, I need to be, taken down

Puppies for sale
A little boy was walking back home and he saw this advertisment board outside his neighbour's house. "CUTE LITTLE PUPPIES for sale, please contact 9670XXXX, price is negotiable." So the little boy knocked on his neighbour's door.
"Hi Mr Watson, I would like to buy one of your puppies!"
"Well, these puppies cost a good deal of money as they come from good parents." said Mr Watson.
The boy dropped his head with disappointment. The he reaching deep into his pocket, he took out a handful of spare change, and hand it to Mr Watson.
"I've got forty-cents, is that enough to take look?"
"Sure!" said Mr Watson. And with that, he let out a whistle. "Here Max!" he called. Out from the kennel and down the ramp ran Max and followed by 4 little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the fence, with delight dancing in his eyes.
As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something stirring inside in the kennel. Slowly, another little ball of fur appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in some awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling, trying it's best to catch up with the others.
"I want that one!" the little boy exclaimed.
Mr Watson knelt down by the boy's side and said, "Son, you will never want that puppy. He will never be able to play and run with you like those other pups would." With that the little took a step back, and rolled up one leg of his trousers. In doing so, he revealed a steel brace running down both side of his legs, attaching itself to a specially made shoe.
Looking back at Mr Watson, he said "Sir, you see, I don't run too well myself, and he needs someone who understand." With tears in his eyes, Mr Watson reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefully, and handed it to the little boy. "How much?" asked the little boy.
"No charge." answered Mr Watson. "There's no charge for love."

So good to be back
Injuries will happen to footballers. Sometimes they are out injured for a couple of months or maybe just weeks. But it is when they return from their injury, and they score a fantastic screamer goal, the footballer must be riding on cloud nine! I mean he overcame his injury, fought his way back to full fitness, and score a goal from 30 yards out (that's considered a screamer goal). Well to me, that's "WOW!"
So back to myself again, it's so good to be back!
This life has changed me from the inside.

Laugh if this is a joke.
Take a few moments and try this.
Think about a time in the past when you laughed so much that you fell over. Or your jaw ached. Or your belly couldn't stop rumbling. Or the time you just couldn't shake off that contagious laugh. Or think of someone whose laughter you enjoy. It could be your child (if you have one), your siblings, your loved one, your friend, or a comedian (Drew Carey).
If you just fell off your chair while thinking of all the fun times you had laughing like nobody's business. I'm sure by now you must be grinning from ear to ear.
It all boils down to one interesting side effect of laughing or smiling - it makes the brain produce a hormone called endorphin, a natural painkiller, or in other words: "sugar-rush".
Keep on reading, because this is no laughing matter:
- Five minutes of genuine belly laughter gives you as good a cardiovascular workout as 15 minutes on a running or rowing machine. Forget about going to the gym, just laugh out loud! (Just kidding, you still need to exercise regularly.)
- Laughter lowers stress hormones and increases the immune system's activity. Now I know why some people don't seem to fall sick throughout the entire year. Hmm...
- Patients who were told one-liner jokes after surgery and before painful medication felt less pain compared to those who didn't. (I guess that doctors and nurses are part-time comedians after all.)
So if you want to keep your body healthy, just give yourself a good dose of humour every day.
Now I think that this post is a bit random, but if it helps you and brightens up your day, good for you! (:

18 Til I Die
I wanna be young the rest of my life
Never say no - try anything twice
Til the angels come and ask me to fly
I'm gonna be 18 til I die - 18 til I die
Can't live forever that's wishful thinkin'
Who ever said that must of bin' drinkin'
Don't wanna grow up I don't see why
I couldn't care less if time flies by
18 til I die - gonna be 18 til I die
It sure feels good to be alive
Someday I'll be 18 goin' on 55! - 18 til I die
Anyway - I just wanna say
Why bother with what happened yesterday
It's not my style I live for the minute
If ya wanna stay young get both feet in it - 18 til I die
A 'lil bit of this - a 'lil bit of that
'Lil bit of everything - gotta get on track
It's not how ya look, it's what ya feel inside
I don't care when - I don't need to know why
18 til I die - gonna be 18 til I die
Ya it sure feels good to be alive
Some day I'll be 18 goin' on 55! - 18 til I die
Ya there's one thing for sure - I'm sure gonna try
Don't worry 'bout the future - forget about the past
Gonna have a ball - ya we're gonna have a blast
Gonna make it last - 18 til I die
Bryan Adams rocks!
He's 48 now and is still rocking on!
Awesome!

Fazed.
I was reading the sports section of The Newpaper last Thursday, and I came across this tongue twister about The Offside Rule and I think its nuts. Anyway, here you go:
1st phase,
2nd phase,
Totally fazed.
Andy Johnson, who scored when he was onside by a comfortable margin, saw his goal ruled out, because he was deemed offside.
The problem, you see, was that Johnson was offside when the move started, but was deemed to be onside because he wasn't interferring with play.
Then, when he was onside, he was deemed to be offside, because it was the second phase and despite being offside, but onside, for the first phase, he was onside but actually offside for the second.
Confusing huh?

Tiago, Ari, Mithyuê, Lenísio and Falcão.
Well, I guess you must be wondering who are these guys.
Haha, these are some of the players that I can thought of from the Brazilian National Futsal Team.
Anyway, I just witnessed Brazil VS Argentina in the KL World 5s Futsal Tournament on Star Sports yesterday, in which Brazil won by 4-0.

Unconditional
You carried the cross for us that was cumbersome
You looked into the eyes of the people
While enduring the whips and lashes.
Throughout Your journey
You heard harsh words echoing, "CRUCIFY HIM!"
You looked for Your friends, but they were all gone.
You heard three rooster crows
And Your heart began to sank
As someone dearest to You denied himself three times.
I can imagine that loneliness
I can imagine when all You've found is hatred
I can imagine that You had to endure all this for our sins
I can imagine six hours later, when You went through the worst.
As they nailed Your hands to the cross
And made You a spectacle
You cried out to the Father
"Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
Closing Your eyes You breathed once more
Your last and final breath
You did all these to save the ones
Who choreographed Your death
The hurt, the pain, the bitterness
That lingers deep inside
The lust, the lies, the suffering
And our selfish pride.
You took them all
Because of Your Unconditional love
You suffered a painful death
That we may have everlasting life.
At that moment,
Was...

2008
Well, we've reached 2008, ain't we?
Happy New Year then!
After that,
You pull your ear.
I'm looking forward to Euro 2008 and the Beijing Olympics.
Shan't really share my resolutions here, because of certain reasons.
The new offside rule is plain NUTS!
Fifa has to realise that the best way to deal with offside is to keep it simple.
Till then, enjoy your 2008 everyone!
