Draw Me Closer
I've found a place
Caught in open arms,
Where love's embrace
Mends a broken heart.
Here I will stay
For all my days.
Draw me closer.

The consequence for destroying my tofu.
Why did you destroy my tofu?
That's it, you're gonna be dead.
Insects? Kill at first sight.

Into the West
Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
Night is falling
You have come to journey's end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come
To carry you come
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All souls pass
Hope fades
Into the world of night
Though shadows falling
Out of memory and time
Don't say
We have come now to the end
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again
And you'll be here in my arms
Just sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come
To carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
Into the West

18
Yeah I just turned 18 three days ago. Oh how time flies.
Its just a blink of an eye, and I'm 18.
Its as if I was just a primary school kid yesterday playing with my Gameboy and that Digimon thingy.
And, now I'm a tertiary student interacting with computers for almost an entire day in school.
How ironic.
Well, I received really some c0ol presents from my cg and classmates.
My cg gave me a really AWESOME t-shirt from Zara!
But I've gotta do some daring task before I can get my gift.
I don't really know where did I got the courage from to do those daring task.
They also made for me a really c0ol looking Man U card!
Man, they are so creative.
Yeah it was fun altogether, and thank you guys for the card, treat and the t-shirt!
And...
My classmates gave me a really ROCKing belt!
Its such a complete match with the music that I listen to, but...(*SCROLL DOWN)
Thank you C171!
Let's WIN all the trophies this friday man!
Oh! Something happened when the clock strikes at the stroke of 12am, November 24th 2007.
I was actually carrying drums and UDMs after my performance with Strikeforce! Man, that's so c0ol and fun!
I'm not being sarcastic here. I really enjoying performing!
It would be c0oler if I'm performing halfway and the clock strikes at 12am. Haha.
Ok. Last but not least, say: "iPod".
(*Sorry for being so random here)
No prizes for guessing who bought it for me.
(*SCROLL HERE)
I wanna be more inspired have more exposure to all genres of music.
I don't really wanna stuck at the same old genre again and again.
Alright, I shall end here.
Till then, peace out.
Red is the new Black.

That seed
You came in,
With that small pot of seeds,
You hand them all to me,
Asking me to water them,
I thought I hesitated for awhile,
But You gave me Your assurance,
You told me that it will take awhile,
Because those seeds doesn't grow overnight,
But I'll continue to water them,
Hoping that they will grow eventually,
I'm ready,
I'm ready to wait,
I'm ready to trust.
Hoping for those seeds to grow,
That they will beautify my backyard,
And people will be so amazed,
That they stand in awe,
Looking at what You have done.

Courage
Well, I was watching Transformers the movie for the second time a couple of days ago. And I find what Optimus Prime said in the ending was meaningful.
"With the Allspark gone, we cannot return life to our planet, and fate has yielded its reward. A new world to call, "Home". We live among this people now, hiding in plain sight but watching over them in secret, waiting, protecting. I have witnessed their capacity for COURAGE, and though we are worlds apart. LIKE US, THERE'S MORE TO THEM THAN MEETS THE EYE. I am Optimus Prime and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars: We are here, we are waiting."

$1850 and the dying pedals.
Man, I saw a Mapex drumset with a full Istanbul cymbal set at Drums Resources that cost a FREAKING $1850! Well, Nigel who is the shop owner said that thats the cheapest amongst all the Mapex drumset, and its also for beginner drummers. Although it sounds and feels good when I tested it, I doubt that my parents will buy that for me. =( I have nothing against the price of that drumset which I saw, its just that when I told my parents about it, they just give me a STRAIGHT NO! Sad man.
Yeah, but I will still go down to Drums Resources to check out more on that Mapex drumset, and also to Swee Lee to look at other drumsets as well.
Well, I jammed with Ryan for an hour on Tuesday and the studio that we went to was quite horrible. Not the guitars but the drums, the pedals will just die on me while I was playing halfway, making me so fustrated. When we went into to the studio, the owner was like so stunned when he saw the 2 of us only. Maybe he thought a band was coming. Haha. But overall, it was fun, he came out with some chord progression thingy and really c0ol strumming patterns. While I played some funny and impromptu grooves. =)
Okay I'm gonna buck up on my practices for my next jamming session with Ryan and Ben. We need a BASSIST!

First Things First.
A young ensign had nearly completed his first overseas tour of duty when he was given the opportunity to prepare his ship to "set sail". With a stream of crisp commands, he had the decks buzzing with sailors and soon the ship was churning slowly out of the channel.
The ensign's efficiency was remarkable. In fact, the talk was that he set a new record for getting the ship underway. However, his bubble was burst when he was handed a radio message from his captain.
"My personal congratulations upon completing your underway preparation exercise according to the book and with amazing speed," it read. "But next time wait until your captain is on board before getting underway!"
What good is a ship without a captain? The ensign did all the right things, but he never did the most important thing!
It is a matter of priorities. You may accomplish a great deal every day, but are you accomplishing the truly important things? In other words, have you put things first?
In marriage and relationships, in work and career, in the areas of mental, physical and spiritual health, are you truly doing the most important things?
It is never a matter of doing more. To determine to squeeze more time in every day for execise, reading or spiritual devotion usually does not last long. More people find success in deciding what is truly important and doing it first. And if some of the other "stuff" never gets done, will you miss it?
Today, will you put the first things first? And how about tommorrow? And the next day? If so, one day you will discover that you are building a life that counts.

If you were born in the 80's
This post is dedicated to those who were born in the 80's, really sorry for those who are not. Ok here is it:
You grew up watching He-man, MASK, Transformers, Silver Hawk and Mickey Mouse, Ninja Turtles, Carebears, Robocop, My Little Pony and Smurfs.
You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary school during recess time. You would squat by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brush your teeth with a coloured mug.
You hated or loved the school nurse (she was either pretty or mean).
You paid 40 cents for cartons of Chocolate or Strawberry milk every week in class.
Everyone's wallet used to be the velcro type.
It was cool to have pagers in primary school.
SBS buses used to be non-airconditioned. The bus seats are made of wood and the cushion were red. The big red bell gave a loud BEEP! when pressed. There were still bus tickets and bus conductors would come up to check them.
Envelopes were given to us to donate to Sharity Elephant every Children's Day.
You've probably read Young Generation magazine. You know who's Vinny the little vampire and Acai the constable.
Writing lines and caning hands were common, especially if you failed chinese or english spelling (caning was actually allowed).
Girls were fascinated by Strawberry Short Cake and Barbie Dolls.
You learn to laugh like The Count in Sesame Street.
You bought tidbits called "beebee" (20 cents per pack, 10 cents in MGS), and "mamee" (30 cents), that had a different sticker in it every time.
You carried a lunch box to school but either threw away the food or brought it back home again.
You watched TV2 (also known as Channel 10) cartoons because Channel 5 never had enough cartoons for you.
Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, The Three Investigators, Famous Five and Secret Seven were probably the thickest story books you thought you would ever read.
KFC used to be a high class restaurant that served food in plates and had metal forks and knives. (I dont remember this, anyone?)
Catching and Pepsi-Cola was the IN thing, and "twist" was the magic word.
Your English workbooks were made of some damn poor quality paper that was smooth and yellow.
You came to school 15 mins before the bell every morning just so you could copy someone's homework.
The only computer lessons in school involved funny pixellized characters in 16 colours walking about trying to teach you math.
Waterbottles were slung around your neck and a must everywhere you went.
Boys loved to play soccer with small stones, tennis balls and plastic water bottles in the basketball court. Girls played five stones and boys played with marbles.
Science was fun with the Balsam and the Angsana being the most important plants of our lives, guppies and swordtail being the most important fishes.
Who can forget Ahmad, Bala, Sumei and John, immortalized in our minds from school textbooks.
We conducted experiments of our own to get badges for being a Young Zoologist/Botanist etc.
Every Children's day and National day you either got pins or pens with 'Happy Children's Day 1996' or useless plastic files with 'Happy National Day 1998'.
You wore BM2000, BATA, or Pallas shoes.
Your form teacher taught you Maths, Science and English.
You went to school in slippers and a raincoat when it rained, and you find a dry spot in the school to sit down, dry your feet, and wear your dry and warm socks and shoes.
There would be spelling tests and mental sums to do almost everyday (you hated them).
Your friends considered you lucky and rich if your parents gave you $2 or more for pocket money everyday.
Boys liked catching fighting spiders, earthworms or tadpoles.
Collecting and battling erasers was a pastime for boys.
Class monitors and prefects loved to say, "You talk somemore, I write your name ah!"
You got booked for muddy shoes in class.
There were at least 40 people in one class.
You brought every single book to school, even though there was a timetable.
There was a pro-yo/bumblebee, digimon craze at some point in time.
I just love my childhood man, it rocks! It brings back memories and laughters when I posted this.

The Tortoise and the Geese
Ok I shall start with my story: "The Tortoise and the Geese".

A Tortoise and two Geese lived together in a pond for many years. At last there came a drought and dried up the pond. Then the Geese said to one another: "We must seek a new home quickly, for we cannot live without water. Let us say farewell to the Tortoise and start at once."
When the Tortoise heard that they were going, he trembled with fear, and besought them by their friendship not to desert him.
"Alas," the Geese replied, there is no help for it. If we stay here, we shall all three die, and we cannot take you with us, for you cannot fly."
Still the Tortoise begged so hard not to be left behind that the Geese finally said,
"Dear Friend, if you will promise not to speak a word on the journey, we will take you with us. But know beforehand, that if you open your mouth to say one single word, you will be instant danger of losing your life."
"Have no fear," replied the Tortoise, "but that I will be silent until you give me leave to speak again. I would rather never open my mouth again than be left to die alone here in the dried-up pond."
So the Geese brought a stout stick and bade the Tortoise grasp it firmly in the middle by its mouth. Then they took hold of either end and flew off with him. They had gone several miles in safety, when their course lay over a village. As the country saw this curious sight of a Tortoise being carried by two Geese, they began laugh and cry out,
"Oh, did you ever see such a funny sight in all your life!" And they laughed loud and long.
The Tortoise grew more and more indignant, At last he could not stand their jeering no longer. "You stupid..." he snapped, but before he could say more, he had fallen to the ground and was dashed to pieces.
Moral of the story? Know who you are. Be secure of yourself. Do not let what other people say or criticise about you be a stumbling block. Practise self-control, forgive those who say bad things about you, show grace and mercy to them, even if it's difficult.
"Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control."

Some Random Stuff
Well, I've just updated my blog. =) Exams are next week on the 28th and 29th, followed by holidays. Yeah man.
Oh ya, whoever says that football is 22 testeorone-charged men chasing 1 stupid ball is wrong. Wonder why? Here let me show you through mathematics.
Firstly, you forget 1 referee who's running up and down the field tirelessly trying to spot for fouls.
Secondly, you forget 2 linesman running up and down the sidelines trying to spot for players who are offside( I doubt you understand what offside is, since you don't watch football.)
So we have 25 men engaging in the Beautiful Game, get your mathematics right man!
Here's some random post:
D-day for me this Saturday!
You( Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea fans) make me love Manchester United even more.
Alright I'm done. =)

Those Were The Days.
Well just a few days back, my CG just got reshuffled. I didn't know it until the very last minute. Of course I was shocked and sad, but I knew it is for the betterment of everyone.
However, I was just thinking back on this move I made 6 months ago. Certainly it was worth it. Before I came to W396, I do not know whether was it a correct move for me. There were doubts running through my mind, but I just tell myself to give it a try to see if things work out.
Without knowing it, these people that I knew for the past 6 months had helped me to find back the passion I once lost. Not only did I found what I've lost, I've always enjoyed the moments that we had together. Laughing at each others' jokes, sharing with one other what happened in our day, chilling after dinner, shopping trips, movie outings and so much more happy moments that it's impossible for me to list them down. Man, those were the days. Although I feel it's kinda short for me. However, it's time for move on and look forward to what's ahead of us. I'm sure there will be even more glorious moments spent.
Here I wanna say thank you to Carol, Patrick, Stuart, Nicholas, Wai Keat, Chow Jie, Abigail, Rachel, Althea, Gek Shan, Grace, Diane, Hae Jin and Stacy. You guys just changed my life and helped me to find back that the passion. Thank you W396! =)

Fairytale Ending
You might wonder what on earth is a war-torn country like Iraq is doing in this match? Yes you might wonder, but what touch my heart was that, the trials and tribulations that this Iraq football team had to go through. Various coaches quit amidst of death threats, football officials of Iraq being kidnapped and killed, social tensions that has been going on in the country, suicide bombings, playing in a neutral ground like Jordan for their home games, sponsorship problems, even accomodation problems which they had only 7 rooms because the Iranian team refused to check out from their hotel, custom problems which some of their players couldn't get a work permit and had to arrive for the tournament 2 days before their opening match, and they also came to this tournament without proper training equipment. Their present coach for just 2 months, Jorvan Viera who is a Brazilian, had to unite players who are from different races to play together as a team.
However, for the Iraqis who are playing their first final match of this prestigious Asian Cup, wanted to win it so much for their people who are suffering at home in the midst chaos. From the first minute of the match, they played like there's no tommorow. They chased for the ball persistently as if their lives were depended on it and attacked the Arab defence continuously, wave after wave. Finally, the breakthrough that the Iraqis wanted so much came. In the 72nd minute, up stepped Nasrat Akram who floated a beautiful and precise corner kick from the right, and lurking right at the far-post unmarked was, Younes Mahmoud, who rose majestically and head the ball powerfully into the back of the net. He went ecstatic, as he ran off the pitch and celebrated passionately together with the rest of his teamates and the fans. For those who watched the match, you might just say it was the goalkeeper's mistake who was caught in no man's land, or the defenders' mistake, as they didn't mark him. Yes it's true, but Iraqis took their chance when it mattered most. Even the Indonesians who were attending the match were being happy for them, you can see them celebrating in the stands as if their country had won the cup themselves. Some of them were seen holding the Iraqi national flag and waving it madly while some painted their face with the national colours of Iraq.
Truly this was an forgettable night for the Iraqi footballers and their people. When the trophy was being presented to Younes Mahmoud who is the captain, and the player of the tournament. You can see his joy and the feeling of being relieved for his people back home.
Yesterday was a night that football had won in the midst of confusion, chaos and fear for the Iraqis. I knew that football can unite people but I never saw it with my own eyes until yesterday. How the Iraqi footballers from different races unite as one team, playing together cohesively and being disciplined in their tatics. Here I salute to the footballers, coaches, officials, fans and their countrymen of Iraq who have stucked with their country so passionately despite the trials and tribulations that they had went through.
I'm sure many who witnessed the match yesterday saw how football touched the hearts of many. Truly like what Brazilian legend and the greatest player of all time, Pele described football as: "The Beautiful Game". Indeed it was beautiful with a fairytale ending yesterday. =)

Cheeky Signs
I saw this article somewhere, and decided to post it. Haha. =)
- Guitar, for sale. Cheap. No strings attached.
- Smoking helps you to lose weight... one lung at a time.
- Success is relative. The more the successes, the more the relatives.
- My grandfather is 80 and still doesn't need glasses. He drinks straight out of the bottle.
- You know your kids have grown up when your daughter begins to put on lipstick, or your son starts to wipe it off.
- If your wife wants to learn to drive, don't stand in her way.
- Those of you who are drinking to forget, please pay in advance.
- Getting caught is the mother of invention.
- The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is the fact that it has never tried to contact us.

Things we love to hate
Disclaimer: Before reading this post, I would like to say that this is not pun-intended. No one is being made fun of, its just that I found this amazingly funny and decided to post it.
Don't you hate:
- People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.
Well, I guessed you would reply back: "I know where my watch is, buddy. Where is yours?"
- People who are willing to get up to search the entire room for the TV remote, but they just refuse to walk to the TV and change the channel manually.
- When you lost or misplaced your things, people always says: "It's always in the last place you look."
Of course it is. Why would you keep looking after you've found it?
- People who ask: "Can I ask you a question here?"
Well, you didn' really give me a choice there, did you?"
- When something is "new and improved", which is it?
If it's new, then there's never been anything like it before. If it's an improvement, then it must not be the first one!
- When a cop pulls you over and then asks if you know how fast you were going?
Wouldn't you just love to reply: "You should know, you pulled me over?"

Creative Rhythms
I guessed I've not update my blog for 2 weeks? But it feels like eons man. Haha. In case you're wondering why my title is called "Creative Rhythms", its because I've finished creating a first draft of my website about drummers which is called "Creative Rhythms". *Rock on sign* Ok I paid the price for creating my website by not sleeping since 11/7/07, 7am till now just to finish my website. Thank God I've got no eyebags, lol. Anyway, I derived with a very powerful equation to keep me awake and energised yesterday morning: Red Bull + Chicken Essence = Ultimate Energy Drink. Wahahahaha. Yeah don't drink them together man, e.g. wait for 1 hour after you drank the Red Bull, then the Chicken Essence. *Confirm, Chop, + Guarantee* You will be awake! Haha. Ok I'm super tired now, I wanna SLEEP.

Transformers and KL gig
Wahaha I shall just sum up 2 great events that happened. Firstly, is Transformers the movie. Well, I watched it with my beloved CG last fri at Bugis Junction Shaw. This movie is so AWESOME that I will pay again to watch the 2nd time. The graphics and effects are just superb. The fighting scenes, comedy and plot are fanastic. It will keep you at the edge of your seat. Those who have not watched it, you better start NOW! Ok I shall not continue and spoil the show. After the movie everyone was feeling high man, all of them are talking about the highlights of the movie over and over again, ahaha. Then we went to fellowship at this place in Liang Seah Street called Can-Can cafe or bar, I'm not really sure though. Lol had a great time laughing and talking there. I went back around 2plus in the morning. =)
Secondly, is the gig that I performed in KL. Haha it was tiring but fun. Well I reach SF studio at 1.30am sunday morning and leave SG at around 2plus in the morning by bus, reached KL's Bukit Jialil Indoor Stadium around 8plus. Sound check and rehearsal at 10plus to 12. Walk to the "nearest" Carrefour for 1/2 hr, and ate at Shakey's Pizza(M'sia version of Pizza Hut). Kevin, Drew, Melvin and I ordered a 4 person set meal which includes 2 regular pizzas, 4 soups and 4 drinks. Lol we were so thirsty that we ordered another pitcher of Pepsi. Haha after that that we walked around the shopping centre but there's nth much. Yea then we headed down to the indoor stadium by a cab, reached there around 5.30pm. I saw a really big crowd queuing from all the various entrances and protesting to get in. Lol. Then I took a power nap for about 1/2 hr. After that we changed and rehearse everything on our practice pads and Boon gave us talk. Yea the highlight now, we went to our various entrance to standby for around 1/2 hr. Then we went up to the stage. I was feeling really high after seeing the whole stadium being fully filled with about 10000 ppl. Haha I got even high when I started playing and I found myself headbanging with what I'm playing. The crowd got high too, when they saw the sequence being played on UDMs, thats because I think they saw drums with colored lighting and water for the 1st time. Haha. After the performance, the crowd gave us a standing ovation. Woohoo! Lol when I was on backstage shifting the UDMs, a young female audience asked me whether is the UDMs made up of fire. So my reply was jus light and water, and I went off quickly, was really busy shifting the UDMs. Haha yup then we packed all the equipment onto the bus and went to a nearby MacDonalds. I got a Surf Up Fish Fillet meal and a banana pie, the drink was kinda cool because it was a blue color Sprite with crushed pineapple and everyone in SF was asking me what kinda drink was that. The fries taste so much better than the MacDonalds in SG because its not that salty. Haha. Then we headed for SG, fellowshipped in the bus. I knocked out at around 11pm all the way to the custom which is 2plus on moday morning. Then we headed to Kallang and the UDMs and various stuff to the warehouse. After that, we went back to SF studio and unload the remaining toms and drums. Everybody was dismissed from there. I took a cab with Valerie and Cheryl and I reached home around 3am monday morning. Yeah that's it and the gig totally was AWESOME and MIND-BLOWING! Woohoo! I just love it!

Kid Comebacks.
Oh before I publish my post, I would like to say that this post is not pun-intended. I thank God for putting teachers in my life, they are great! =) But I just wanna post this because it is FUNNY! So you students out there, including me, don't treat your teachers rudely. Yup, here's the post. Enjoy!
Teacher: What's the chemical formula for water?
Andy: H I J K L M N O.
Teacher: What's that?
Andy: You told us that it's H to O.
Teacher: Sarah, give me a sentence starting with "I".
Sarah: I is....
Teacher: No, you should always say, "I am"
Sarah: "All right. I am the ninth letter of the alphabet."
Teacher: George Washington not only chopped down his father's cherry tree but also admitted it. Why didn't his father punish him?
Louis: Because still had the axe in his hand.
Teacher: Michael, your composition on "My Dog" is exactly the same as your brother's. How come?
Michael: Because we share the same dog.
Teacher: Harry, what do you call a person who keeps on talking when people are no longer interested?
Harry: A teacher.
Haha I would like to say again, no pun-intended. I hope you enjoy reading this post! =)

A cure for free.
Steve has problems, so he decides to see his psychiatrist, Dr Blue. Steve says: "Every night, when I get into bed, I think there's a crazy person under it ready to do some serious harm. I'm filled with fear. Please help me."
"Don't worry, Steve," Dr Blue says. "I can cure you of your fear, but it will not happen overnight."
"How long will it take, doctor" Steve replied.
"Well come to me twice a week for three months, and I'll rid you of your phobia"
"And how much do you charge a session, doctor?" Steve ask.
"My charges are $300 a session," Dr Blue says.
Steve does a calculation and realises that it will cost $7200 in total, so he says he will think about it.
Many months later, Steve meets Dr Blue in a supermarket.
"So why didn't you return to me?" Dr Blue asks.
Steve replies: "Well, as I told you then, your fees are really too high for me. And then my Pastor gave the cure for nothing. I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went on a holiday."
"What did your Pastor say?" Dr Blue enquires.
Steve replies: "Easy, he told me to cut the legs off my bed. It's now so low that nobody can possibly get under it."

Silverstein- My Heroine
There's a screamo version for this song. Apparently, I didn't post it because I felt that the acoustic version is nicer. So here is the lyrics and enjoy the song! =)
The drugs begin to peak
A smile of joy arrives in me
But sedation changes to panic and nausea
And breath starts to shorten
And heartbeats pound softer
You won't try to save me!
You just want to hurt me and leave me desperate!
You taught my heart, a sense I never knew I had.
I can forget, the times that I was
Lost and depressed from the awful truth
How do you do it?
You're my heroine!
You won't leave me alone!
Chisel my heart out of stone, I give in everytime.
You taught my heart, a sense I never knew I had
I can forget, the times that I was
Lost and depressed from the awful truth
How do you do it?
You're my heroine!
I bet you laugh, at the thought of me thinking for myself. (myself)
I bet you believe, that I'm better off with you than someone else.
Your face arrives again, all hope I had becomes surreal.
But under your covers more torture than pleasure
And just past your lips there's more anger than laughter
Not now or forever will I ever change you
I know that to go on,
I'll break you, my habit!
You taught my heart, a sense I never knew I had.
I can forget, the times when I was
Lost and depressed from the awful truth
How do you do it?
You're my heroine!
I will save myself!

Everyone's a cracked pot
An elderly woman had 2 large pots. Each hung on one end of a pole that she carried across the back of her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it, and always ended up being only half-full of water when she arrived home.
This went on for 2 years, with the woman taking home only 1 1/2 pots of water every day.
One day, the cracked pot ashamed of its imperfection decided to speak to the elderly woman.
"I am ashamed of myself, of this crack of mine that causes water to leak". But the elderly woman replied: "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? I planted seeds on your side of the path and every day, while we walked back, you watered those seeds. I have been able to pick those beautiful flowers to decorate the table because of you."
The point of story?
Everyone has a flaw. You have to take people for who they are and look for the good in them.

Be the ONE to EMERGE!!
A Talent that makes us unique,
Will you give it up to God?
Yes, it maybe difficult,
because anointing comes with a price,
but it's worth it.
A heart broken,
that You will work through,
A hungry soul,
that You will not reject,
A blank cheque,
I give.
Your eyes are looking for
those who are willing,
those who will obey,
the 300 that will walk with you.
Love is Your Name,
Unconditional is what You always give.
I wanna go all the way,
Yes, it's all about love.
One Trumpet in our hands,
One sound of freedom,
To proclaim Liberty,
Let us be the one that blows.
Now is the Time to fufil.
What more can I say? From 31st May to 3rd June, the EMERGE Conference! I can only say that its AWESOME, MIND-BLOWING, IMPACTFUL, POWERFUL, and many more adjectives which I can't think of it. Although every session is abt 4 to 5 hours, I don't feel that way, it keeps me wanting more. Ya that includes performances from Tank, Liu Geng Hong, Darren Tan and Chen Diya who are Project Superstars finalist. Appearances from F.I.R lead singer, Fei-er and Miss Taiwan, Vivi Wang to make this event even special. Nope you're not reading the wrong things, these celebrities are REALLY here to perform. Haha I shall end here then.

Back!!!
I haven't been in the flow of blogging, cuz I was REALLY busy. Haha. Anyway, there are really 2 mind-blowing events that are happening for me. Firstly, is the EMERGE Conference from 31st May to 3rd June!! This conference is gonna be a LIFE-CHANGING one. After that, you'll never be the same person again. Haha. Secondly, is the FIRST EVER in ASIA, which is none other than the SINGAPORE DRUMFEST!! from 9th June to 10th June. World renowned drummers like Benny Greb, Gordon Campbell, Tony Royster Jr, Nate Morton, Greg Bissonette, Jojo Mayer, Derek Roddy, Steve Thornton, Grant Collins and 2 very renowned local drummers like Jimmy Lee and Mohamed Noor will be coming down to perform and inspire drummers. I can't wait for these 2 events man! Haha.
Moving out and stepping up.
Live in in fear and you'll never see the FAITH.
Live in failure and you'll never see the SUCCESS.
Live in the past and you'll never see the FUTURE.
Daydreaming is not VISUALISING.
Feeling pumped up and not doing anything = NOTHING!.
Engaging is a contest of INFLUENCE.
The POWER to DEFINE is the POWER to VALIDATE.
Life or death, blessings or curses, you choose.

Summing up.
Well, i haven't been blogging the past few days cuz I was either tired or busy.
Erm shall sum up frm thursday onwards. I can't remember how tht day goes, except that cgm was mind-blowing.
Then its friday, I came to sch realising tht there's no c maths tutorial(faints). I went for ccn day after eating. My class was selling bubble tea and cheese hotdogs. I thought we earn quite a lot. It was a fun and tiring day.
After friday, its saturday of course! Haha. I went for my first gig with Strikeforce at Raffles City Shopping Centre. My cg came and supported me(so touched)! Before performing, I was having adrenalin rush, heart was pulpating like mad and when I went on stage I just let everything out! Haha but overall its gd, learnt quite a lot. Then went for service, its jus fantastic, I really can't describe it, but its really amazing, felt the move and power. Yup, went back and watch the FA Cup. Sadly, Manchester United lost by 1-0. Even as a Man U fan, I felt that the match was boring. I fell asleep during the 55th min while watching(guess I was tired), but I woke up during the 70 min to catch the entire match. Then it went to extra time, my heart broke when drogba scored. I switched off the tv after the game, can't be bothered to watch the trophy presentation. Then went to sleep after that.
So sunday came and I went for service although I was tired, haha. It was awesome, connvicting, full of substance! The 2 new songs were excellent! Had a great time for the whole the weekend.
I can't wait for emerge 2007, its gonna start in 2wks time!

Secondly, i have a programming test coming up, and i know nuts about the subject!(help!!)Thirdly, i also have a test on web design and computing maths.(great!!) Fourthly, i haven't been sleeping well for the past 2 weeks. i want a holiday!(ya rite.) And more, too many to be mentioned. Haha.
Well, to all those who are reading this and u wanna help me, u can say a short prayer for me:
Dear Jesus, I lift up Yee Hao in Your hands, I pray that You'll strengthen him in the midst of this busy period. I pray that You'll enlarge his capacity, and grant him the wisdom to complete his school work and manage his time well. Lord, let him emerge from this period even stronger! Talents
Woohoo! i'm back, lol. I didnt blog the past few days cuz i was quite busy with school work. ya.
Anyway, yesterday was a great but tiring day for me. Haha cuz i was helping out at the Drum Challenge Semi-Finals @ Plaza Singapura. I gotta fix, dismantle and collaspe lots of drumset and carry lots of heavy equipment. Ya, but it was an eye opener for me cuz i witnessed pure drumming talent frm this litle red dot on the map, which is Singapore. Its mind blowing to see so many talented drummers and even kids below the age of 10 playing so well! I'm really inspired by all these drummers, so i'm gonna improve myself further in drumming. Haha. Btw, yesterday performance frm chow jie(drummer) and stuart(bassist) was really execellent! They impressed the judges, and drew lots of applauses and cheers frm the crowd. Although, chow jie didnt make it to the finals, he really impressed everybody there. Haha. Anyway, after the whole drum challenge, we unpack everything within an hour or so, i'm not sure either. Lol. Ya it was tiring, but a meaningful and inspiring day for me yesterday!
Hmm i jus gotta sign off here, cuz i wanna watch the last game of the season, Man U VS West Ham which includes the EPL trophy presentation! haha. Yup, cheers!

After effects.
I'm still feeling the after effects of Man U winning the EPL, i just cant shake it off. Haha.
Anyway, had a really long day in school from 9am-6pm. So i'm really feeling tired and i wanna SLEEP! Had some fun in sch playing Command and Conquer 3 on my lappy. Although, i encountered some laggyness while playing, the game was real cool. Ya basically thats about it.
If you want to stay young.
- Throw out essiential numbers like age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them.
- Keep only cheerful friends. Grouches pull you down.
- Keep learning. Never let the brain become idle. An idle mind is the devil's workshop, and the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
- Enjoy doing simple things.
- Laugh often, long and loud, until you grasp for breath.
- Let the tears flow. Endure, grieve and move on.
- Surround yourself with what you love. Your home is your refuge.
- If your health is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If its beyond what you can improve, get help.
- Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall but not where the guilt is.
-Lastly, tell the people you love that you love them, at every chance.

So Glory Glory Man United, Glory Glory Man United, Glory Glory Man United, as the Reds go Marching On! On! On! Looking forward to chelsea VS Man U in both EPL and FA Cup final.
Oh man i stll can't get use to my lappy, maybe i need more time to adjust to windows vista and stuff. lol.

Anyway, after fellowship today, went to meet stuart and patrick. Stuart suggested of going parkway parade though he was kinda tired. lol. i think we covered the mall countless times, then we went starbucks and chill out. I have a bad day.
Firstly, my beloved Manchester United lost to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions league semi-final 2nd leg by 3-0, which makes the total aggregate score 5-3. They were not their usual self this morning, they were outplayed by Milan for the entire game. But i won't blame them, because Man U had so many injuries. After watching the game, i went to sleep for apporx 1 1/2 hours then i head to sch.
Secondly, I was feeling a lil bit of giddyness after i woke up, but i didnt took notice of it, and went to sch. It was upon reaching sch, then i felt a slight fever, wanted to pon the last lab session of the day which is, programming. But i dunno why i didnt, cuz at that time, i was out of sorts already, i was not even paying attention to everything. So after the last lesson, i took a cab home, really cant be bothered to take a bus back.
Lastly, i missed the second movie outing with my cg to watch spidey 3(shucks, not again). I keep apologising to patrick cuz he bought my tix alrdy, but i didnt expect to be sick today. Actually i wanted to go with them, but i really can't take it man, was feeling very giddy and had to go home and rest.
*sigh, that just sums up my bad day.

Always All Ways
Always All Ways (Apologies, Glances And Messed Up Chances)
I guess I'm trying to say I'm sorry,
But it always comes out wrong,
I think a part of you still loves me,
Even though we're moving on.
Always, all ways I wanted us to be,
Always, all ways you and me,
And I wait here on my own,
And I wait for you to see,
All the time I spend alone now won't comfort me,
Always all ways...
And I'm sorry for what happened,
But I want you there to see,
That I'm changing all my actions,
I don't wanna set you free.
Always, all ways I want to see you through
Always, all ways me and you
And I wait here on my own,
And I wait for you to see,
All the time I spend alone now won't comfort me.
'Cause I'm waiting for you,
Yeah, I'm waiting for you,
Give me answers, get me through,
I will wait...
Always, all ways I wanted us to be,
Always, all ways you and me,
And I wait here on my own,
And I wait for you to see,
All the time I spend alone now won't comfort me.
'Cause I'm waiting for you,
And I'll wait here for you,
Give me answers, give me through,
I will wait...
'Cause I'm waiting for you,
Yeah I'm waiting for you,
Give me answers, get me through,
I will wait...
Always, all ways

An illusion.
In Life,
There's always an illusion that can't be seen,
something that has blend into life so well,
that we think everything is alright.
However,
will it shock us if we find out the truth?
will we remain strong and change?
It waits to be seen.
The illusion is the veil
thats preventing us from
seeing what's behind it.
We never really know
until we change our mindset and,
until we choose to step out
to see what is behind this veil of illusion.
Because,
time will tell in the future,
whether are we pioneers of it.
And if the illusion is covering us up,
then we'll never move on.
We really need to look
at ourselves and find out
what are we really missing at.
Because you wouldn't want to
be a prisoner of your past.
So we should stop holding back
ouselves and overcome the fear
in us. Let's get ready to move
on, step out in faith
and see what's behind
this illusion.
And
when you have seen it,
you will be blown away,
because you never know
what God has installed
for you behind this
veil of illusion.

Mayday
Absolute mayday! haha. I had an awesome day today! I went to church for the mayday celebration. Everybody was letting their hair down tdy, they jus had absolute pure fun, no service. Its jus fun, fun, fun and more fun. lol. Met up with my cg and we line up for Sun's concert. Although i don't listen to chinese songs, i was kinda feeling high for the concert, that's bcuz everyone was feeling high! Of course it was a great concert, cuz we don't get to see Sun that often, so this is a great opportunity to to catch up with her and how she's doing etc.
Yup! After that, we went for the carnival, we talk, laugh, joked around, ya pretty fun atmosphere la. haha. Then we went for the rides(been ages since i've played that), but i didn't puked. lol. Ya met a few friends there also, like Weiming, we're discussing abt the drumfest tix and stuff. Also met Tan Boon(The Strikeforce leader), and he encouraged me to go for 2 days of the drumfest. so gotta think abt it bucz of financial constraints, but i'm defintely going for one of the days to see Benny Greb. Alrite that writes my whole mayday! Fun and unforgettable. =)

Seeing something new

Well, its a good ol' day in sch. Feeling very tired towards the end of the day cuz i didnt slp well last nite. yup 1st lesson of my day was web design, my lecturer showed us a lame video. It was a big grp of prankster chasing one poor guy for nothing out of a sudden, and after tht, the grp dispersed suddenly, leaving the poor guy and myself stunned(jaw dropped instantly after watching the video). It would be gd if i had the video. haha. Fast fwd to the last lesson of the day, was kinda falling asleep cuz of the mono tone of my programming lecturer, who claims tht he's the only one in spore to own a phd in gaming("wow").
Anyway, after sch went out and buy my new shoe frm leftfoot with my fren(tht's the pic above). Haha nice huh? we shop for the whole day for clothes but couldnt find any(sigh), nvm there's always another time. Basically, tht somes up my whole day, i cant wait for the church family day. haha.
Lets us be thankful of life
I am thankful:
For the jokes and laughter that I heard
because it means I have
been surrounded by friends.
For the keys that i have to my
letterbox, because it means
I have a home.
For the pile of laundry and ironing
because it means
I have clothes to wear.
For the clothes that fit a little
too snug, because it means
I have enough to eat.
For weariness and aching muscles
at the end of the day
because it means
I'm capable of working hard.
For the alarm that goes off
in the early morning hours,
because it means I am alive.

Rollercoaster, decisions
Man Utd rocks!!! They came frm 2 goals down to win everton 4-2. Personally, i wanna thank John O'Shea for making the score 2-1 to give man u a hope, phil neville (a former man utd player) for scoring an own goal to make it 2-2, Wayne Rooney for scoring the winner to make it 3-2, Christopher Eagles who sealed the match at 4-2 and lastly, kelvin davies (a bolton wanderers player) for scoring the equaliser against chelsea to make the final score 2-2. Woohoo! 5 pts lead ahead of chelsea, muahahaha!!! I hope man u will shore up their defence for goodness sake, cuz my heart will start pulpating everytime when i see them defending. Ya end here on my talk for football. (sorry if i sounded like a football analyst, but i just love Manchester United.)
Which decision is more painful?
Momentarily saying "no" to urself or a lifetime of heaven saying "no" to u?
We have many decisions to make in life, some of which will have a consequence, depending on wht we do. Many times, when things are difficult, we let circumstances dictate our decision-making, bcuz we're afraid to face it. but hav it ever cross ur mind wht will the consequence be when u shun ur problems? "Whatever you refuse to confront today, will be next to impossible to confront tomorrow." Lets be responsible for our problems, we cant escape it, its either we deal with it or it deals with us. If we choose to step into the comfort zone, we're becoming hostages to ystd problems. Why not DEAL with the problems u created? RAISE ur performance, SACRIFICE ur present and ENJOY the future. This will show ur true character, bcuz the portrait of ur life is painted with the brush of ur character. Lets be good finishers in whatever we do. When faced with a problem, deal with it, say to the problem that "WE CAN!!" not "we can't", and we can ENJOY the future. However, the choice is up to u to deal with it. Signing out, cheers. =)

Its as simple as that, just imagine, isn't it?
Apart from the human heart, i feel that the human brain is the most powerful organ that God has given us. that is because we use our brains and think and imagine things isn't it? although its the heart that keeps us alive, its our brain that helps us in our day to day living (do i sound like a scientist here? sorry if i do).
Anyway, this may sound cliche to u, but its true. Everytime when i here ppl saying tht "the sky is the limit", i dont think so, cuz when we are imaging, we musnt limit ourselves or we cant go far. Why not jus think for awhile, wht is it that keeps u going in life? one of it must be ur visions and goals? if u dont have one, i sugesst that u better start imagining and get one. 'Man without vision will perish'
Your imagination starts when u have the DESIRE to do great in life. I'm sure that life is more than just completing ur education, getting a good career and starting a family. I'm more than 100% sure that u wanna do great in life. but where do u start? you can dream, imagine, talk abt it n tell ur frens abt it, but it wont happen when there's no FAITH and ACTIONS. it may require a risk to be taken, mayb mocking frm ur frens, or ur family members telling u tht u're not up for that. but why not STEP OUT?! it may give u a lift, a step closer, or if u fall, shake off the dust, PICK urself up again, use it as a STEPPING stone instead of stumbling block to u. You know that dreaming, visualising and imagining is the most SIMPLIEST thing to do in life? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to dream, visualise or imagine, its just CULTIVATING that desire in you, its as simple as that, isnt it? However ur vision wont come to past, if u jus sit there and expecting it to happen, u have to start ACTING it out! it may require a great deal of effort, but this is it, u still gotta do it, u cant escape it. U gotta grab any opportunity tht comes (not at the expense of anybody), or else u'll be back to ground zero.
Well, i'll jus end it here. If you can DREAM it, you can SEE it. Never doubt the power of imagination, it can take u to places u've never been to, so let ur brains do the work in the realm of ur mind, and enjoy the "sightseeing" of ur beautiful future!
Oh ya, abt sch. Got a major project in hand, gotta do a website on drummers. need to hand in the proposal in 4 wks time and the website itself in 12 wks time, so its kinda rush for me. and another mini project which is doing the culture on The Philippines, eg. dining habbits, dressing and stuff. yup, finally have some things to do, and gotta plan my time well already. haha signing off here.

Staind- So Far Away
This is my life
Its not what it was before
All these feelings I've shared
And these are my dreams
That I'd never lived before
Somebody shake me
Cause I
I must be sleeping
Now that we're here
So Far Away
All the struggle
We thought was in vain
All in the mistakes
One life contained
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here, So Far Away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive
I'm not ashamed
To be the person that I am today
These are my words
That I've never said before
I think I'm doing okay
And this is the smile
That I've never shown before
Somebody shake me
Cause I
I must be sleeping
Now that we're here
So Far Away
All the struggle
We thought was in vain
All in the mistakes
One life contained
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here, So Far Away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive
I'm not ashamed
To be the person that I am today
I'm so afraid of waking
Please don't shake me
Afraid of waking
Please don't shake me
Now that we're here
So Far Away
All the struggle
We thought was in vain
All in the mistakes
One life contained
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here, So Far Away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive
I'm not ashamed
To be the person that I am today

In my face!!
Well, i started my day badly, i woke up 15 mins late. I fought against time and i rushed down to bedok interchange. When i reached there, the queue for bus 69 was so long tht it stretched to half the interchange(in my face!!). So i lined up for awhile like 5 mins, and then i took a merc cab down to sch (gosh! y didnt i thought of that earlier?).
Haha, i managed to reach there in time and meet up with my classmates. went for visual literacy tutorials. its kinda cool subject for me, cuz we gonna come up with designs and patterns thru shapes. I managed to come up with a design accidentally with my grp by erasing it. cuz our idea was a tornado liked blackhole and when i erased it, the design was there. haha(cool huh?). then i went for programming lecture, well i'm gonna talk on tht subj, in case u fall asleep while reading. haha. cuz i almost fell asleep during the lecture, but i didnt, i stayed awake, thank God tht i sat in front.
So after school, i went to ask somethings abt my laptop stuff, its so complicated man. but at least i knw some things after the ntuc person explained it to me. yup was kinda tired after tht, maybe its bcuz of the lecture. went home after tht and is end of story.

First day of sch
1st day of sch, a new beginning for me. Today was a day full of lectures, but it was kinda fast, cuz most of the lecturers jus do the introductions of the subjects tht we're gonna learn. ya, so my day ended arnd 3 plus instead of 4pm. then we went to the computer labs to print lecture and tutorial notes, which ended up with many problems. ya cuz, its either the printer spoilt or not enough ink. lol.
Think of the have-nots and stop complaining
Today before you think of saying an unkind word, think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food, think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about life, think of someone who went too early to Heaven.
Before you argue about your dirty house, think of the people who are living on the streets.
And when you are tired and complain about your job, think of the unemployed and those who wished they had your job.
When depressing thoughts pull you down, put a smile on your face and thank God you are alive.
Life is a gift, live it, enjoy it, and celebrate it!

School is starting and fun is over.
Hmm sch is starting tmr for me, of coz i'm looking fwd to it, but that means fun is over, gotta get that "honeymoon" mentality away frm me, lol.
Anyway, i was feeling groggy today, but still went for my church prayer mtg, had an awesome time there. it jus don't feel like 2hrs in the mtg, it feels so short, this always happens. haha.
After that, i went for strikeforce prac. i was expecting to learn something new, but i didnt, its alrite. luke taught us the importance of keeping in time and 16 beats. i feel its impt cuz, every beats revolves arnd 16 beats, so gotta get that in my blood. Haha, luke actually ask us to compose our own solos in forms of 16 beats, how cool is that? i got a wk to think, compose and prac to perfection, so gotta get it done quickly.
So came back home and watch the chelsea-newcastle match. guess whats the score? 0-0. ROFL. Its still 3 pts awy frm man u. MUAHAHAHAHA. There's still hope for man u. Yeah, UNITED ROCKS!!!!

Great Feast Today
Finally i have a proper rest after my 3 days of orientation. 0f course its another great service, sense that the whole church is moving to another level, so gotta keep moving on. Anyway, after the service the whole zone celebrated yah lan's b'day, it was an awesome sight to behold, seeing 400+ ppl filling up 3/4 of the extreme choir side seats, but i believe there will be more seats filled in her next b'day.
After that my cg went to bugis to and we had a great feast! we ordered: hong kong noodle, fried rice, vegetables, sweet n sour fish, fried vegetarian prawns(i didnt eat it), carrot cake black n white and char kway teow. we introduced these local dishes to paul and grace who are korean SOT students attached to our cg, and they ate a lot cuz they liked it so much! I ordered a sliced fish bee hoon for myself which i managed to finished it. haha thank God that we managed to finish the food, cuz all of us came with an empty stomach.
I went home after that and managed to catch the man u's match on time. Its so fustrating that they drawn with middlesbrough 1-1, even though they had so many chances. but i still believe that man u will win the league, hope that chelsea will lose against newcastle. so gotta focus on man u uefa champs league tie against ac milan. UNITED!!!!

Back from 3 days of orientation.
Yeah!!! I'm back! It's been a great orientation so far, although it was tiring. Haha i think sum up my 3 days of orientation.
DAY 1: Went to school, meet my new classmates, though all of us were shy, we began to open up after some ice-breaking games. lol. There's 2 rockers, 2 chelsea supporters(grrrrrrrrr), 1 liverpool supporter(grrrrrrrrr), many gamers, and ladies(duhhhh) in my class. haha. Learn a lot of cool cheers, mass dance and school song. After that was a very "scary" nightwalk, the OLs(orientation leaders) told us a lot of "ghost stories"(dunno whether is true) to scare us. I think i'll jus mention 1 of the "stories" in case u can't sleep after reading it. There's a boys toilet in the sports complex which is "haunted", rumours was that a pregnant woman hung herself, and if u were to go into the toilet alone, u will hear her cries.(i sum it up) So the OLs decide to simulate the whole scenario to scare us, but i dont think we were freaked out. After the nightwalk, the boys had difficulties slping(not that we're scared) bcuz we're sweating after the walk, i'm not sure abt the girls. but we managed to slp. haha.
DAY 2: woke up at arnd 6.30, cant remember wht we did. but it was a tiring day cuz we didnt have enough slp. the only thing i remembered was running arnd tp diff schs and doing 5 diff tasks at all the schs. yea went off after that for some things.
DAY 3: Last day of orientation. Met my classmates then we go LT(lecture theater) after is the tour arnd the sch. Going to the labs for pc training and the library.
Then came the regatta at sports complex. It was quite fun, cheered for the sch, although it was hot n stuffy. then we went to bedok reservior for the dragonboat race, it was a great competition between all schools. felt high at the end of the whole regatta, went back to LT for debrief, then took photos with the whole course(Internet and Multimedia Development or IND) and my OLs. Met my ex sec sch classmate for dinner then went home. It was a great 3 day orientation, got to know my classmates even better and bonded with them.
What i hope will be a gr8, fun, meaningful, enjoyable, and unforgettable 3 yrs with them till the day of graduation. Looking fwd to sch on monday and C171 Rocks!!! peace out.

Great Stuff..
Haha i went for my drum lesson as usual at chow jie's house. learnt quite a lot today, but jus some problems with my leg muscles, which is affecting the way i play the bass drum. lol, so gotta brush up on that. and also problems my left leg and right hand co-ordination, gotta make them play together as 1 with a sound of 8-beat. its kinda difficult, but gotta prac on that.
Anyway, while on my way home frm my drum lesson jus now, i met my football buds, so we arrange for a game. haha, thank God we lived in the same estate, so i dont have to worry abt distance. yeah, finally get to play some football before my sch starts. cuz i wont be able to play, since my orientation begins tmr and sch starts nxt wk, so i gotta make use of the limited i have. lol. :)
